As a handbag fiend, I also love chic suitcase/luggage with a vintage feel. In years gone by this would also include a vanity and if you were especially stylish, a hat bag. If you want to be really indulgent to have a set that matches is even better.
If there is only one luggage label who can capture the elegance of the past it is Globe Trotter. Established in 1897, used by everyone from Winston Churchill to Queen Elizabeth to Paloma Faith and Dita Von Teese. A great, timeless look with the modern advantage of wheels (why it took so long for someone to think that sliding rather than carry a heavy suitcase will always be a mystery). One day I hope to own a Globe- Trotter of my own.
While I am not a fan of Louis Vuitton, there is no denying that if you love vintage luggages; LV have a fantastic history. Everyone from Elizabeth Taylor, Joan Collins and Dita Von Teese (yes her luggage is immaculate) have used LV.
