Pristine Philippines

When most mention The Philippines, the most common attributes include Imelda Marcos and her colossal closest of shoes. While that maybe true, The Philippines has much more to offer. Especially when it comes to her beguiling natural beauty.

The Philippines are an archipelago of over 7000 islands in Southeast Asia. North of that other famed sun drenched archipelago, Indonesia. The Philippines is also one of the most biodiverse parts of the world. As far as endemic wildlife, since so much is still being discovered. The exact number is hard to quantify; but I have little doubt she will soon be on par with Indonesia with immense natural uniqueness. Like so many island paradises. Her isolation from the mainland has contributed to the extraordinary array of evolution of her wildlife and nature.

Among the most renowned creatures found nowhere else of planet Earth include the Tarsier, the Luzon Bleeding Heart Pigeon and the Palawan Pheasant (both bird are featured as the last two images).
